External hook vineyard posts allow for quick lowering and raising of foliage wires, improving labour efficiency during canopy management. Consistent hook spacing ensures uniform wire positioning along the row for accurate canopy control.
Manufactured from 1.8 mm thick steel and protected with a Magnelis® zinc–magnesium coating, these posts offer superior strength and long term corrosion resistance. The self healing coating provides excellent protection on hooks and cut edges, significantly reducing rust formation compared to standard pre-galvanised posts, extending the service life signifcantly.
External hook posts are not recommended for mechanically harvested vineyards, as harvesting machines can close the hooks during operation.
